My 10 year old daughter wrote this a month ago and I happened upon it today, just a few hours after the news of Steve Jobs’ passing.  I found it fitting and wanted to share.

A horse, for a barn.
A hamburger, for a mouth.
A spot, for a cheetah.
These are ordinary.
BUT…
Many extraordinary things DO happen.
The strange among the normal.
They keep our lives interesting.
They’re our will to live.
But someone needs to be extraordinary.
And that someone is you.

Steve Jobs certainly kept life interesting, had a tremendous will to live and was extraordinary. His ideas have helped build the foundation for the next generation. I am excited to see what extraordinary things they do.
